Kansas City Royals

John Gibbons was the bench coach for the Royals in 2011 when he donned this batting practice jersey.

John caught parts of two seasons for the Mets, including the 1986 World Championship club,
for whom he batted a robust .474 (though in only 19 at-bats).  His path to the big leagues
was blocked by Hall of Famer Gary Carter.

He is perhaps best known as the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays for two different terms.
